     Increased understanding: In which the discussion needed to resolve conflict expands our group member’s awareness of the situation, giving them
    an insight into how they can achieve their own goals without undermining those of other members.
     Increased group cohesion: When a conflict is resolved effectively, team members can develop stronger mutual respect and a renewed faith in their ability to work together.
     Improved self-knowledge: Conflict pushes individuals to examine their goals in close detail, helping them understand the things that are most important to them, sharpening their focus, and enhancing their effectiveness.

  2. TEAM CONTRACT
    Team name: - Team Uswatte Employee Engagement
    1. Purpose of the contract
    The purpose of this contract is to make sure that all the members of team Uswatte is to,
    a. Work equally till the end of the project.
    b. Ensure that confident information about the company doesn’t go out to our competitors.
    c. Work with full potential to finish the task.
    d. Finish the assign objective or goal at the given period of time.
    e. See the project through to completion.

    2. Mission statement and Goals
    We are targeting to become a provider of a web based system to enhance more employee engagement in the company named Uswatte and thereby increasing the current employee morale with a healthy employer - employee relationship. In addition, our further activities are collaborated to make more new candidates attracted to the Organization by increasing the brand reputation among the community
    3. Expectations
    a. Participation and attendance for meetings,
     Give everyone the opportunity of equal participation.
     Be honest and open during meetings.
     Be open to new approaches and new ideas.
     Keep the issues arise in the meetings confidence unless otherwise indicated.
     Avoid placing blame when things go wrong.
     Everyone group member should attend every meeting just in case he or she is unable to attend should be informed in prior.
    - Attracting a bigger energetic, competent pool of candidates for Uswatte

    b. Communication
    We will:
     Be clear and to the point.
     Keep discussions on track
     Practice active, effective listening skills.
     Seek first to understand, and then to be understood.


    4. Policies and procedures
    a. Problem solving
    We will:
     Encourage everyone to participate
     Build on each other’s ideas.
     Remember problem solving is a creative process, new ideas and new ideas always results.
     Encourage all ideas no criticism.

    b. Decision making
    We will:
     Seek to find the needed information or data.
     Encourage and explore different interpretations of data.
     Get input from the entire team before a decision is put out.
     Ask all the team members if they can support a decision before the decision is made.
     Make decisions based on data whenever possible.

    c. Handling conflicts
    We will:
     Regard conflicts normal and an opportunity for growth.
     Listen openly to other points of view.
     Seek to find some common group for agreement.
     Choose an appropriate time and place to discuss and explore the conflicts.
     Acknowledge valid points that the other person has made.

    5. Roles
    a. Roles will be assigned prior to a meeting or, if this is not possible, at the beginning of a meeting.
    b. The CEO will, at the beginning of a meeting, set sub-goals. These sub-goals will be presented to the group for a consensus of approval.
    c. The HR officer is responsible for taking in-session notes and preparing presentation materials from these notes.
    d. The administrative officer is responsible for keeping track of the time allotted to each discussion, and keeping the group aware of time remaining. The managing director will keep his/her mind open to problems, possibilities, and divergent or opposing ideas. In addition he is responsible for deciding what to do when time is running out during a discussion

    6. Meeting procedures
    a. Meeting will begin and end on time.
    b. Team member will come to the meetings prepared.
    c. Agenda items for the next meeting will be discussed at the end of each meeting.
    d. Meeting task will be rotated among the members.

    7. Breach of contract
    a. Raise any issue regarding the breach of contract during meetings and record in writing.
    b. Agree that the disciplinary procedure following breach of contract is as follows,
    1st breach- verbal reprimand
    2nd breach- verbal reprimand
    3rd breach- immediate dismissal

    8. Declaration
    I have read the contractual terms relating to the completion of this group work and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.
